Security Camera Search was started in 2006 in order to implement an easy way for surveillance equipment suppliers to publish product feeds using open source standards. Specifically, security camera search developed software to publish feed using the OpenSearch specification for us in publishing product feeds to Amazon’s A9.com product search. This was accomplished however opensearch never seemed to really take off like we expected, even though it is an excellent concept.
In, 2008, Security Camera Search decided to broaden the focus of the website into not only developing product feeds for the security camera & surveillance system industry but also to provide product information directly on our website portal, along with surveillance industry news, help guides, and videos.
